The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Friday, January 16 reveals Noah Newman (Lucas Adams) will ask his father what he plans to do with Matt Clark (Roger Howarth).
Also coming up, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will strike a deal with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman). Plus, Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) will quiz Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc). And Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will argue.
Y&R spoilers tease Sally will flip out on Billy. “We just started a communications company,” she’ll say, adding she believed in him. But he’ll say he just found out, he hasn’t been going behind her back. “I wouldn’t have found out any of this if I hadn’t run into you here,” Sally will reply.
They’ll return home and Billy will ask if they can start over. He’ll say he hasn’t yet accepted Cane Ashby’s (Billy Flynn) offer. But Sally will find that hard to believe. “This is a pretty big offer and you seem pretty willing to take it.” Sally will say she needs to know what he plans to do if the offer turns out to be legitimate.
Y&R Daily Scoop – Billy Cannot Understand Why Sally Is So Upset
Billy will reiterate he hasn’t made a decision either way. He’ll tell her if she runs Abbott Communications and he runs Chancellor, they’ll be the power couple of Genoa City. Plus, they should separate personal from business.
“When I made that deal with you, it was because I didn’t think you could put my needs above your personal ones,” she’ll reply. Billy won’t understand why she’s so upset. Sally will say this is about payback on Jill Abbott (Jess Walton). “You’ve obviously made up your mind.”
Sally will add if he accepts Cane’s offer, it’ll be the biggest mistake he’ll ever make. But he’ll see it as Sally keeping him from what he wants. She’ll tell him he’s right, they should separate personal from business. She has a media company to run and he’s going to leave her high and dry. “If you do go forward with this, I’m not going to be happy.”
At Society, Diane will meet up with Michael and ask for an update on Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) plan for Jabot. “Let’s just say Victor has bigger problems to be concerned about at the moment,” Michael will reply. Diane will ask him to tell her more and he’ll say Jabot is no longer under threat.
“That same program has turned itself on Newman Enterprises from the inside,” Michael will add. Diane will smirk and say Victor must be panicking right now. But she also knows he’ll be out for revenge and this time Cane and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will be his target.
Meanwhile, Nick will show up at the Abbott estate. Jack will ask why he’s no longer in the hospital. “I’m trying to save my family,” he’ll reply. Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will ask if he’s there because of Matt Clark. Nick will say they have no idea of the horrors he’s put his family through.
Young And The Restless Scoop – Jack Tries To Reason With A Manic Nick
Jack will admit he was negotiating a trade with Victor until he got a text that sent him into a tailspin. But he’ll add that Matt’s under lock and key. “You need to give him to me, right now,” Nick will reply. However, Jack will say he needs the AI program so he can destroy it once and for all. Nick will say Jack and Jabot are the last thing on Victor’s mind.
Jack will ask if Nick can confirm that Victor is dealing with a threat. “Did Cane manage to get ahold of his software again?” he’ll ask. Nick won’t divulge anything. He’ll just say all their family members could be at risk because of Matt, including Harrison Abbott (Redding Munsell).
“I’m the one who knows how to deal with him!” he’ll angrily add. “I’m the one who’s going to put an end to this monster for good!” Kyle will suggest Nick tell Victor, he holds the key. “If he escapes, no one is safe!” Nick will shout.
Jack and Kyle will offer to bring a manic Nick, who’s obviously in a lot of pain, back to the hospital. “You give me Matt Clark I will guarantee there are no threats or attacks against Jabot,” Nick will reply. “I beg you, give him to me, let me put an end to this nightmare.”
Finally, Nick’s pressure tactics will work. He’ll show up at the cottage, grab some rope and a bunch of towels out of a drawer. Nick will sneak out but Noah will come down shortly after. He’ll see the door isn’t closed properly, grab a jacket, and head outside.
Noah will track down his father and see Matt in the trunk of Nick’s car. “Is Matt dead?” he’ll ask him. Nick will say no and Noah will ask what he plans to do with him.
